About Me: Miguel Ángel Victoria, Photographer and Creator of Sinaloa 360

My name is Miguel Ángel Victoria. I’m a photographer and the founder of Sinaloa 360, a project born from a deep love for my homeland and a desire to show the world the beauty, culture, and pride of Sinaloa through photography, virtual tours, and immersive experiences. For several years I’ve been traveling across Sinaloa with my camera, trying to capture those moments that make us feel proud of our land.

Who I Am: My Path as a Photographer

I am the founder of Sinaloa 360, a website where I have published thousands of photographs of places of interest throughout the state of Sinaloa. I also developed the sister project Mi México 360, featuring images from other states in the Mexican Republic and from several countries in the Americas and Europe, created to share the richness and diversity of our entire country beyond Sinaloa’s borders.

My camera and tripod have become my best travel companions to document churches, plazas, mountains, historic streets, beaches, and cityscapes that tell the story of our people.

Sinaloa 360: A Project to Celebrate Our Homeland

Sinaloa 360 is not just a photography website; it is a project about pride and belonging.
Here you’ll find images designed so that:

  • Sinaloans living abroad can reconnect with their homeland.
  • Local families can discover corners they may not know yet.
  • Tourists are inspired to visit Sinaloa with a different, more positive and intimate perspective.

My purpose is simple yet powerful: to show that Sinaloa is much more than what appears in the headlines, and that this is reflected in its hardworking people, its artists, its entrepreneurs, and the communities that keep our identity alive. It is culture, history, talent, hard work, and good people who are building a better state every day.

Photography, Virtual Reality, and Aerial Tours

I am the creator of the largest virtual tour in Mexico, hosted at culiacan.sinaloa360.com, with tours of emblematic places such as the Hospicio Cabañas in Guadalajara, the archaeological site of Monte Albán in Oaxaca, and the Ángela Peralta Theater in Mazatlán, among many other museums, temples, and plazas in Mexico and Europe.

I am also certified as an expert in drone piloting and aerial filming by the Spanish drone pilot school Drone Guru, which allows me to capture high-quality aerial views and panoramas, always with deep respect for safety and the environment.

Más de 297 millones de personas de todo el mundo han visto y compartido sus fotografías a través de Google Maps.

Education and Recognitions

On my path as a photographer, several teachers have been key influences, such as Sinaloan photographer Fredi Arturo Sobampo, Colombian photographer Mario Carvajal, and Spanish photographer José María Mellado, with whom I have had the opportunity to attend masterclasses in Colombia, Canada, and Cuba.

According to Google, more than 297 million people around the world have seen and shared my photographs through Google Maps, a number that reminds me of the responsibility and the opportunity to keep showing the best of Sinaloa to the world.
