Our history

Agrícola Belher began its operations during its first horticultural season, 1988-1989. At that time, the company only had the infrastructure for the cultivation and harvest of vegetables, specifically vine and ground tomatoes, grown in open fields.

A little over a year later, in January 1991, the Don Memo Packing Plant was inaugurated. With a production line in place, we began packing and shipping our products.

Cultivation with Shade Nets

It wasn’t until 2004 that we installed our first 15 hectares of shade nets. Years later, in 2007, we had already expanded to 80 hectares of protected cultivation. Over these years, we have harvested and packed products such as hot peppers, bell peppers, cucumbers, and primarily tomatoes.

Currently, all our production is under protected cultivation.

Our packing facility is highly automated, with three production lines that meet our demand. In addition, our housing facilities for agricultural workers have also evolved.

Just like in our first year of production, we inaugurated Campo Lo de Beltrán. It has enough capacity to accommodate the workers for our first harvests and their families. The facility includes 3 modules with 100 homes, a small daycare, a school, and a store.

For the 2011-2012 season, along with the expansion of hectares under protected cultivation and the increase in production, we inaugurated Campo Dorita. At that time, it housed 400 residents.

Currently, our two housing facilities have been fully renovated, with a total capacity of 2,300 residents and two childcare centers that can accommodate nearly 400 children.

Food Safety and Quality at Agrícola Belher

At Agrícola Belher, food safety is achieved through the implementation of Good Agricultural and Manufacturing Practices, as well as quality and safety management systems.

This has allowed us to achieve certifications such as Eleven Rivers, Global GAP, and SQF.

Social Responsibility

Social responsibility at Agrícola Belher refers to the responsibility the company assumes for the consequences of its actions. We ensure that our operations are sustainable economically, socially, and environmentally. In this regard, we focus on the well-being of our most valuable asset, our Human Team.

An important aspect to highlight is our commitment to our workers and their families. We work daily on social projects that have improved their quality of life, health, and education. This includes providing dignified, clean, and safe housing, medical services, and health promotion and addiction prevention campaigns, among other initiatives.

Eleven Rivers and Agrícola BelHer

Agrícola BelHer is one of the agricultural companies that has been with the Eleven Rivers program since its inception, led by Engineer Rosario Antonio Beltrán Ureta, a farmer with a broad vision of the agricultural sector. He is an active participant in agricultural organizations and a member of the Board of Directors of Eleven Rivers.

Agricola Belher

Agrícola BelHer was the first agricultural company in Sinaloa to achieve Eleven Rivers certification.

For us, it has always been an example and a model to follow, primarily due to the commitment that exists from upper management and all collaborators to the pursuit of excellence. This commitment is clearly evident the moment you arrive at the company.

How This Virtual Tour Was Made

To create the Virtual Tour of Agrícola BelHer, we had to wake up early… At 5 a.m., we headed to the fields to capture the first shots with the morning light.

We took aerial photos with the drone to capture the sunrise.
